Becoming That Someone…

Unfortunately, anxiety tends to be a huge part of our lives. Able or differently abled, we all worry about our kids, our current financial status, what job we hold, or even what house we currently have. Top that off with our constant worry of how others will perceive us. Singles can stress about meeting that special someone and even the kind of wedding they will have. It’s human nature, one that is as natural as breathing.

Now add a drastic overhaul of how you now live your lifestyle like a sudden job loss, having to take on the mental and financial stress of a family member’s deteriorating health, or maybe a loss of a loved one. You could be the one in my position… Staring up at a mountain of health, boot camp style, obstacles to just continue living. It is extremely easy to let the enemy creep in to divert your focus from your father.

Thus why says to not worry about tomorrow, for you have a Father who promises if you will make seeking Him a priority, He will make providing for you a priority.

Remember God knows that what you need most is a close relationship with your Father. When you’re focused on the Father, you won’t be distracted by the cares of this world. When you’re working on this relationship… Your investing in becoming the person God wants you to be. I burned a lot of energy trying to self define what this new body said about me. From “I’m only half the worth of what I was” to “I’m now limited in the life I once envisioned for myself”.One issue with that… I found out that when you refocus and understand that only your life‘s purpose has changed. My future is still just as bright. Submitting to God will move you toward the people He wants you to meet. These people can help you through a tough time, or even be there to show you exactly how much worth you have. He placed people in my life that showed me that my greatest contribution to His kingdom is being a faith filled fighter and trying to inspire people of all walks of life. He is showing me that my investment portfolio will not only be diverse, but will yield the greatest return I could ever imagine. Financially and mentally, He is the best adviser.

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

John 8:44 NLT

The enemy will try to adopt you as his own by getting you to stress about your lack of vision in certain aspects of your life.
See he knows if he can get you to worry about the future, it robs the power of what God wants for you today. Past powers should be praised and confidence in prospective powers is warranted. However, the true power is what God, through Christ, wants you to become that someone in the here and now.
