noun: the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.
So if I asked if you have ever focused on your freedom, what would your answer be?
The pressures of life, the people that hurt you in the past and present, or how you may feel you have let yourself down. All that baggage can truly disrupt your focus and keep you imprisoned from your life’s real purpose. It’s constantly popping up and casting doubt. For me, the most recent baggage, was one we all share. Heavy in handles, 2 zippers, and a really hard lock attached… it’s called the baggage of doubt. Can I adapt to this new lifestyle and succeed?
What is your baggage and how much of it do you have?
Now that you have answered that, know that the master key to the lock and the tools to break through the zipper teeth are just above your view point. God works hard on transforming us into the followers who spread grace and live free from the things in this world that enslave us.
When you focus on your freedom… hiding from baggage of pain or shame, will be met with HIS healing. The bag tagged with “life’s pressures”, that bears down on us, is met with grace. Instead of attempting to change and falling back in to the “repetitive baggage” of an old cycle that we will dwell on for long periods of time, it’s met with the true path we were meant to travel.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
Focus on carrying that Spirit with you… where is that bag? That baggage comes from readiness. From the release of old and acquiring of new. The next time … in that moment… you feel another strap from a new bag wraps around your arm and neck… look at HIM and remember that God brought you to this moment on purpose, to prepare you for your future. HE is swapping the bad baggage and providing the best ones, you just have to start seeing yourself as God sees you! Focus on those swaps… Focus on your freedom.
