Once I identified my physical and even mental weakness… I was able to look past it and ask HIM to rebuild me in both aspects. 2 Corinthians says it all…
“Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.”
"Never even thought about this notion as an able body, so happy to reach this level of clarity in my life. Take a honest assessment of your levels...I didn’t ask HIM to rebuild me for success the way I wanted... instead...I asked to be rebuild how HE needs me for HIS plan. “Grant me YOUR wisdom and place me where YOU need me to be. Help me remain faithful and humble before YOU with every step. Give me courage and strength to rebuild the way YOU need my life to be.”
Surprisingly, HE led me to sharpen the skills I already had. See…HE already has been in control from birth. HE already gave you the talent that placed you where you are now. You just have to polish it, stop listening to “your moves” and listen to HIS moves for you. Ask for HIS wisdom when making moves. As you do this, don’t claim glory yourself, always give God credit for successes. If you feel unsuccessful, start listening and asking, the talent is there… you may not know how to truly use it and just need to reach out to the one who gave it to you… If you feel successful, ask yourself… how you have impacted the kingdom, have you truly made ripples leading to positive change beyond your lifetime?
Stress just melted away now that I don’t worry about the things in me that could hinder WINS. Even when enemies try to stop the rebuilding process in various ways, remain focused, face the opposition, and trust in God. Happy building family.
